Mrs. Lucinda Huffstetler

I was born and raised in a small town in Northeast Ohio. I graduated from Geneva High School and then attended the University of Mount Union, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in History with an emphasis in Adolescent to Young Adult app. I moved to North Carolina in 2004 to pursue a teaching position at North app High School, where I taught World History. I received my MSE in appal Leadership-Administration from Arkansas State University. My husband and I are the proud parents of two children, Sydney and Luke. I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling to historic sites, reading, and spending time with my family.

Mr. Ryan Smith

Hello! I’m Ryan Smith, and I’m thrilled to serve as an Assistant Principal at East app High School. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from South Carolina State University in 1994, followed by a teaching license in Special app for students with Behavioral and Emotional Disabilities from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 2003, I completed a Master of Arts in School Administration at Gardner-Webb University. Since fall 2006, I’ve had the honor of working as a school administrator - either as an assistant principal or principal - within app County Schools. I’m excited to embark on this new chapter and look forward to working with the students, staff, and community here at East app High School.

Mr. Patrick Watson

My name is Patrick Watson, and I am originally from Shelby, NC.  I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in English.  After graduating from Western Carolina University, I taught high school English in Rutherford County and Cleveland County. After receiving my Master of app at Gardner-Webb University, I became an assistant principal with app County Schools.  I was appointed assistant principal at Southwest Middle School from 2012 to 2017 and Bessemer City Central Elementary from 2017 to 2022 before being named Principal at Cherryville Elementary School in 2022.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my three children.
