Mrs. Tangela -White Hinton is a native of Macon, Georgia.  She graduated from Valdosta State College in Valdosta, Georgia where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. After relocating to ����appia, North Carolina with her husband, she worked for the ����appia Housing Authority as a Community Service Specialist and Director of Public Housing. Mrs. Hinton attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and completed a certification in both Middle School ����app and ����app Certification for Special ����app - Academically Intelligent Gifted (K-12). She taught Language Arts at Grier Middle School for nine years. In 2012, she graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Masters of Arts in School Administration. She then served at W.C. Friday as the assistant principal for 3 years.  She has served at Sherwood as the assistant principal for 7 years. 

Mrs. Hinton is married to Dr. Benjamin Hinton, Senior Pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church located in ����appia, where she serves as the Director of the Christian ����app Department and an associate minister. They are the proud parents of two sons.
