Dr. Allen began his career as an English teacher at East app High School and continued teaching there for twelve years. While there he also taught Yearbook and Broadcasting/Journalism. He also spent many years at EGHS coaching boys' and girls' soccer and swimming. In the summer of 2023, he was hired as the principal at South Point High School. He previously served as the principal at app Early College High School from 2018-2023 and as the assistant principal at Highland School of Technology from 2015-2018.
He has a Bachelor of Science in app degree and a Masters of School Administration degree from Western Carolina University. He has a Doctorate of appal Leadership degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
