Keith Henson of Stuart W. Cramer High School was selected for the North Carolina Music Educators Association's high school honors chorus, and Maddie Moore is one of 10 students statewide chosen for the High School Singer/Songwriter Competition.
Andrew Taylor of Forestview High School was selected as the overall local winner in the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Contest.
Belmont Middle School raised over $4,000 for Hurricane Helene relief. Students donated money for a chance to "pie" a teacher, administrator, or coach.
