The Collegiate Prep Academy is designed to offer a challenging curriculum so students gain the academic confidence and foundational skills necessary for success at the college/university level.
Through the Advanced Placement (AP) Capstone Pathway, students develop, practice, and sharpen their critical and creative thinking skills by completing the AP Seminar and AP Research courses as well as other AP courses in various subject areas. Students who pass the AP courses and score high enough on the AP exams can earn the AP Seminar and Research Certificate or the AP Capstone Diploma.
The prestigious AP certificate/diploma distinctions help students “stand out” when applying to college by sending the message that they have achieved early success on college level curriculum.
Students from outside the Forestview attendance area who will be in the ninth grade for the 2024-2025 school year may apply for this program. A lottery process will be used to determine the 30 ninth grade students who will attend (from outside the Forestview attendance area).
