Hello, Lowell Cubs!

My name is Kimberly Queen, and I’m thrilled to join you as the Assistant Principal Intern at our fantastic school!  

I've been in education since 2013, spending my entire career in ����app County Schools at Sherwood Elementary. I started my journey in Kindergarten and spent most of my time in 5th grade, where I developed a passion for inspiring young minds and creating engaging learning experiences.

My love for education was sparked in GCS, by a special 4th-grade teacher, Mrs. Craig, who made learning fun and exciting. I also had a 7th-grade teacher who believed in me and helped me grow in my reading skills, showing me the profound impact a caring educator can have on a student’s life. That’s why I’m dedicated to leading and supporting our students and staff with love, encouragement, and collaboration.

What I love most about Lowell Elementary is its family and community-oriented atmosphere. From day one, I felt warmly welcomed, and I can’t wait to contribute to our school’s vibrant culture! I’m excited to work alongside our amazing staff, students, and families to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported. 

As a lifelong learner, I’m currently pursuing my third degree—a Master of ����appal Leadership and Administration—from UNC-Charlotte, where I also earned my Bachelor's in Elementary ����app  and a Master's in Mathematics. Go, 49ers!

When I’m not at school,  you’ll find me embracing my role as a proud single mom to my wild and sassy princess, who loves jumping in muddy puddles!    I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, collecting cool rocks and gems, and finding unique stickers along the way. Oh, and I can’t resist a good Disney villain—there's just something so captivating about them! Bwahahah! 

I look forward to getting to know all of you and working together to make this school year an amazing adventure!
